This buffalo has a sound built, heavy wedge shaped body with comparatively small head, long face and neck. Livestock Murrah Buffalo produces milk at an average of 3,000 liter per lactation. It has excellent body confirmation, good udder, tightly curled horns and dairy temperament. It has great tolerance to hot and cold climatic conditions and is regular breeder. The age at first calving of this Livestock Murrah Buffalo is 45 to 50 months in farms but in good herds it is 36 to 40 months.
